The album artwork was designed by Saatchi Gallery collected artist Alaric Hammond.Glass Minds is the followup to the bands 2022 triplealbum set, Call to Arms amp Angels, which charted Top 10 in countries right across Europe and saw the band headline their biggest live shows to date, culminating at the 15,000 capacity Paris Accor Arena in November 2023.Talking about the new album, Darius Keeler of ARCHIVE said The album all started after we composed the song Patterns. We really loved the space and minimalistic power of the song, it reminded us of our debut album Londinium, and how we approached writing at that time heavy rhythm with a melancholy that penetrates the soul. I was listening to Elgars Nimrod a lot at the time we started writing the new album, and I wanted to use brass as an added dimension, bringing even more emotion to the songs. I know some people might flinch at the direct nature of the lyrics, but there is a long and proud tradition of musical artists using their platforms to speak out on issues and challenge systemic inequality, war, and political oppression. At the end of the day though Yahoo039 isn039t about politics, its about humanity, and about the inhumane actions of tyrants and some world leaders. In recent times I feel like a lot of pressure has been brought to bear on artists not to speak out be that commercial pressure from sponsors, promoters, the algorithm, or even intimidation from their own governments in some cases. Moving between ambient hiphop, art rock, electronic pop and neoprog, the 11track album channels the anger and urgency of turbulent times, led by its epic 18minute antiwar title track. Across the record, the bands distinctive vocalists and musicians bring a wide range of perspectives and textures, from punkinflected intensity to soulful ballads and explosive rap.Arriving just a year after the acclaimed Glass Minds, the album also marks the arrival of rapper Jimmy Collins as a permanent member, bringing fresh energy to Archives evolving sound. For founder Darius Keeler, Not in My Name represents a particularly significant moment I think its the most impressive record weve done.It was bizarre to finish an album and immediately feel so inspired to write another one straightaway but we were responding to world events, and the collective sense of anger that we all feel. The world has become a warped and distorted place, its clear that mankind has lost its humanity somewhere along the way.Not In My Name was an intense record to make, its a very different album to any we039ve made before. The title track is the centrepiece, its an eighteenminute epic and features all five Archive vocalists on the same track, something weve never attempted before. The track also sees the return of vocalist Holly Martin who didnt feature at all on the Glass Minds album, it was great to work with Holly again on the new album.It039s not all intense though, there are quiet and beautiful moments on the album too, like Treading Water, To Life and Don039t Shake My Ground, plus one of our most raw and fuckedup punk songs to date, Huh.The album title Not In My Name is simply a phrase I imagine a lot of us have spinning around our heads these days, but we must never give up hope that the good will out. said Archives Darius Keeler.https://images.tmstor.es/archive/198575-6cda62b29ab1f9607e6f1cf76d3339a2.pnghttps://archive.tmstor.es/product/198575ArchiveNot In My Name Black Double Vinyl29GBP5435232027-03-19Archivemusic198577preordernewLimited edition 140g neon green transparent 1234 double vinyl, includes limited edition handnumbered poster within the packaging.ARCHIVE, the singular and acclaimed collective who formed in Croydon, South London in 1994, have today announced details of the release of Not In My Name, their 14th studio album. Not in My Name is a powerful new chapter in Archives genredefying story. The track also sees the return of vocalist Holly Martin who didnt feature at all on the Glass Minds album, it was great to work with Holly again on the new album.It039s not all intense though, there are quiet and beautiful moments on the album too, like Treading Water, To Life and Don039t Shake My Ground, plus one of our most raw and fuckedup punk songs to date, Huh.The album title Not In My Name is simply a phrase I imagine a lot of us have spinning around our heads these days, but we must never give up hope that the good will out. said Archives Darius Keeler.https://images.tmstor.es/archive/198638-2ad316fa9dc022074819d1bd916a0d99.pnghttps://archive.tmstor.es/product/198638ArchiveNot In My Name Red Double Vinyl30GBP5435232027-03-19Archivemusic198640preordernew140g red 12 double vinyl, includes poster within the packaging.CD also includes poster within the packaging.ARCHIVE, the singular and acclaimed collective who formed in Croydon, South London in 1994, have today announced details of the release of Not In My Name, their 14th studio album. Not in My Name is a powerful new chapter in Archives genredefying story.
